The Double Flap Approximation Technique is a surgical method designed for medial epicanthoplasty restoration. A triangular flap created on the inner side of the V-shaped incision is rotated to reconstruct the medial wall of the lacrimal lake (lacrimal caruncle area), helping restore the natural anatomy while minimizing postoperative tissue distortion. The outer V-shaped flap is then repositioned into a Y-shaped configuration to adjust the direction, angle, width, and overall contour of the medial canthus.
