[Medipana News] Director Do Eon-rok Presents Treatment and Prevention of Complications After Eye Plastic Surgery

[Medipana News = Reporter Choi Bong-seon] Dr. Do Eon-rok of Seoul 1mm Plastic Surgery announced on the 3rd that he was appointed as a speaker and participated in the '2019 AESTHETIC PLASTIC SURGERY 2019' academic conference of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons held last month.

The 2019 Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons Academic Conference was a major event that received favorable reviews, attended by 250 overseas plastic surgeons from 34 countries and over 1000 domestic plastic surgeons and industry professionals.

At the 2019 Academic Conference of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (APS KOREA 2019), topics in various fields such as eye surgery, nose surgery, breast surgery, and wrinkle surgery were presented. Dr. Do Eon-rok, Director of 1mm Plastic Surgery and an academic committee member of the Academic Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons' Eye Surgery Research Group, served as a speaker in the session on "Treatment and Prevention of Complications That May Occur After Eye Surgery."

Director Do Eon-rok stated, "Various types of complications can occur even after eye surgery, so prevention and appropriate countermeasures are crucial. In particular, NTM (Non-tuberculous mycobacterium), which is currently a hot topic in the Gangnam plastic surgery industry, is very difficult to diagnose with general tests and challenging to treat with commonly used antibiotics, making early intervention difficult. Since failure to provide appropriate treatment early can result in prolonged recovery periods and serious side effects for the patient, prompt diagnosis and treatment are essential."

Director Do went on to present guidelines for the rapid diagnosis and treatment of infections and inflammation that may occur after eye surgery.

Meanwhile, Director Do Eon-rok of 1mm Plastic Surgery continues his consistent academic activities by introducing clinical results and surgical methods for eye surgery at annual academic conferences.
