[Medical Tribune] Dr. Do Eon-rok, Director of 1mm Plastic Surgery Clinic, Presents on Canthoplasty at Eye Surgery Research Society Academic Symposium

The Ocular Surgery Research Group under the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons recently held its 14th academic symposium in the form of a webinar.
Twenty-five members of the Society of Oculoplastic Surgery Research, divided into chairpersons and speakers, attended this symposium to examine clinical cases, the latest findings, and recent trends in oculoplastic surgery.
The program consisted of five sessions and two video sessions covering trendy double eyelid surgery techniques, upper eyelid and forehead wrinkle improvement surgery, the past and present of mid-face lift and lower eyelid surgery, approaches for unique patients, and methods for upper eyelid revision surgery.
Dr. Do Eon-rok of 1mm Plastic Surgery (representatives Do Eon-rok and Kim Hyung-seok) attended the canthoplasty session and gave a lecture on the topic of "Tips and how to access each specific patient in canthoplasty."
Director Do shared his unique surgical techniques and clinical know-how, explaining which type of eyelid surgery is appropriate based on eye shape and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional method of fixation to the periosteum versus the latest method of fixation to ligament tissue instead.
Director Do Eon-rok was recently appointed as a speaker at the 2021 Aesthetic Plastic Surgery International Conference and gave a presentation on the topics of epicanthoplasty and upper eyelid surgery.
In addition, he continues to engage in research and academic activities, such as giving invited lectures and conducting live surgical demonstrations at domestic and international conferences every year as an academic committee member of the Oculoplastic Surgery Research Group of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
